2026 Season Highlights

A few of the modules that stuck with everyone this season.

Fetal Pig Dissection

We brought in the big guns for this one — my mom, a retired biology teacher, ran a full fetal pig dissection for the kids. Turns out having an actual teacher who has done this a few hundred times beats me winging it with a YouTube video by a mile.

Axe Skills Refresher

Back to basics with a hands-on axe skills refresher — grip, stance, safe swings, and splitting technique. No stitches required this year.

Robotics, Part 2

The sequel nobody asked for but everyone wanted — round two of robotics, building on what the kids picked up last time and pushing a bit further.

Tower Building: 20kg Challenge

This year's engineering challenge: build a tower that can support 20kg without collapsing. Some towers were works of art. Some were not. All of them were tested to failure, which is really the whole point.

Archery with Mr. Bova

Archery with Mr. Bova was a great learning experience — thanks to him for running the workshop, it was right on target.
